Photoluminescent pigment is also called glow in the dark pigment, long lasting photoluminescent pigment, luminous pigment, luminescent pigment, phosphorescent pigment and glowing pigment. Photoluminescent pigment is belong to inorganic glowing pigment, it absorbs visible lights and glows without lights or less lights. The particle size is from less than 5μm to more than 150μm, the lightness is better for bigger particle size than smaller particle size, such as 35-50μm owns better lightness than less than 5μm. Hence, the most popular particle size is less than 35μm and 35-50μm. All the photoluminescent pigments are based on strontium aluminate, which is non-toxic, harmless, non-radioactive. With new technology, Epsilon's photoluminescent pigments are 10 times higher at least for luminosity and 10 times longer at least for afterglow time compared with traditional Zinc Sulfide photoluminescent pigments. Epsilon's photoluminescent pigments have faster light charging ability and good afterglow level. Photoluminescent pigments are widely used in printing inks, paints and coatings, plastics and rubbers, ceramics, glass etc. which are applicable for extinguishing and fire signs, as well as photoluminescent signs, board and sheet, self-adhesive vinyl, aluminum sheet, tape, stair nosing, stone, helmet, plastic chain, laces. Most of photoluminescent pigments are soluble in water and decomposed in acid, so they cannot be used in water based and acid based mediums before encapsulation. Furthermore, metal materials have heavy influence on luminosity of photoluminescent pigments, hence they are prevented from touching metal materials including packages.
Epsilon offers below photoluminescent pigments:
