RT4906 is high quality chrome oxide green, it is dark green powder with metal luster, insoluble in water, hardly soluble in acid. With a melting point of 2300°C and boiling point 4000°C, chromic oxide is commonly used in the production of refractory bricks to line metallurgical and glass furnaces and kilns, these bricks are often used in glass furnace linings, in the steel production process or in the chemical industry. while the shaped bricks in the fire door of steel furnace require lower iron and aluminum content, some even is needed to be desulfidation. Harder than other metal oxides, such as titanium or iron, chromic oxide is ideally suited to environments where temperature and process conditions are aggressive.
Mainly used in refractory industry to make bricks, mortars, ramming mixes, gunning mixes etc. to increase the refractory materials’ life, also used in ceramic stains, tile, as well as the areas which require very high temperature.
